The space of painting, 2013

The company Frontier Economics, in partnership with the University of the Arts London, annually selects students from the BA Fine Arts course to develop projects for its office in Holborn. The chosen project, 'Pictorial space', was developed especially for the reading room; its circular format helps to immerse the viewer in this pictorial installation. Created from the desire to expand the limits of paper, observational drawings are cut, twisted, folded, and rearranged into a new composition that incorporates light, shadow, and negative spaces.
