Contemporary Oracle
Contemporary Oracle brings together oil and pigment paintings on paper that stem from the question: what is the future of the contemporary landscape? Artificial Intelligence emerges as an oracle of the present — a system capable of producing answers, but conditioned by the data that feeds it.
The research constructs its own visual repertoire from satellite images, mining territories, electronic waste disposal zones, industrial machinery, bones, and previous works, combining these references through generative AI and subsequently transforming them through painting. The works reveal the material dimension of a technology often perceived as immaterial, exposing the relationships between extraction, machine, body, and territory.
On a planetary scale, the landscape appears marked by cuts, geometries, and scars, making visible the structures that support the digital world and questioning the landscape we are continually building.
